So, you’d like to earn money web blogging, but don’t have the AdSense to do it? Seriously, if you’re starting a new blog or website, the first rule of AdSense is to wait 30-40 days before adding it. You see, once you have your blog up, you need pings, promotions, feeds, bots, and spiders. Most of all you need good quality content, and lots of it! The AdSense comes AFTER you have passed muster with the search engines, established your place in the rankings, and started getting your traffic.
If you put AdSense up too early, it signals to the search engines that your focus is on money and not content. Do that, and you’ll be fighting an uphill battle to get a good rankings and decent traffic. Your first goal should be to get the search engines to love your site and trust you to put up quality content with regularity. After they see that you have a quality site, and that you’re maintaining it, they’ll reward you with good rankings and you could even land on the first page of their search results. Now that’s where the traffic is, and that’s when it’s AdSense time.
AdSense matches ads to the content of your pages. So, the ads you’ll see will depend on your niche and your dominant keywords. Once you see the ads that Google is putting on your blog site, it’s a good idea to find out how much the ads are paying. You can do that by using the Google keyword tool. If you see that certain ads are more lucrative, you might want to tweak your content to make sure you have good keyword density to match up to the ads. If you feel the need to adjust your site, that’s fine, but don’t focus too much on the keyword density. To earn money web blogging, first make sure the keywords are a match for the content – no exceptions. Second, try to use the keyword in the first, middle, and last paragraph and then use variations of it throughout. Remember, tweaking is ok, but always maintain the quality of your content. And, don’t resort to keyword stuffing, link hiding, linking to pages with misleading anchor text or any other such tricks.
There are plenty of articles, good and bad, already written on AdSense and a wealth of info on the Google AdSense site. Much has been made about the size of the ads, placement, and color of text, background, and borders. Common sense is the key here, for example, people will say that the ad should appear to blend in with the text, as if the visitor isn’t going to recognize it as an advertisement. Ok, that’s highly unlikely, but is it a good idea to blend – probably. And yes, blue is a good color for the hyperlink- most visitors are going to make that assumption. AdSense allows you to choose many different ad formats and it’s highly customizable, so you’ll want to keep track of what’s working for you and change the things that aren’t. Just because you can place up to 3 ad units on each page, doesn’t mean that you should. Make sure the ads aren’t distracting from the content or the goal of your site; particularly affiliate sites where your main objective is to get your visitor to click on your affiliate link.
Finally, to earn money web marketing with AdSense, you’ll need to have several sites. If you want, you can create new blogs based on your research of high paying ads, you just need to make sure you do your keyword research and match your content. The more sites you have the better your chances of making some decent money. Remember though, wait until after you have done your initial promotion, and give the search engines time to recognize the quality of your content before initiating your AdSense campaign.
